[INSIDE THE JEEP]thricedeadwindJune 5 2009, 16:32:23 UTC
[Oh god it's muggy in the apartment. It wasn't like ShinRa tech to suddenly go down ... unless something drastic happened. Zechs stirs]
[... What. No, seriously, what. His head's pillowed on Tyki's shoulder in the back seat of some slow-moving jeep and they're in the middle of the jungle and ...]
[Well, at least they're dressed for the day.]
[Placing his hand on the driver's shoulder] I would demand to know at this moment where we are being taken.
[INSIDE THE JEEP THAT'S REALLY A FORD EXPLORER I GUESS]attorney_at_lolJune 5 2009, 19:14:01 UTC
[stirs a little at the hand on his shoulder, having been snoozing in the driver's seat]
Hmm...?
[...then he suddenly bolts upright, because the last thing he remembers is being in his office, which meant he probably fell asleep at his desk, and the hand on his shoulder could be a client; how embarrassing would that be?]
[alert and jumpy] What? I'm sorry, I...
[what he wakes up to, though, is a small flurry of butterflies in his face, which he tries to wave away]
[looks over his shoulder, still a little disoriented] What...?
[but then Tyki's question sinks in, his position in relation to the backseat dawns on him, and he whirls back around] Who's...
[...oh god, is he driving this thing!?]
[it may be going at a snail's pace, but he grips the truck's steering wheel in a panic and slams the break--that's on the left, right?--and when it doesn't seem to do anything, he hits it again, repeatedly]
[IN OUR HAPPY JEEPY FORD EXPLORER]thricedeadwindJune 5 2009, 20:10:29 UTC
[Crosses his arms, raising his eyebrow at the back of the stranger's head, then turning his attention towards Phoenix]
It was merely a guess, given our current ... mode of transport. However, knowing the past luck our selves have experienced, I doubt we are so fortunate.
[Zechs is examining the back-pocket of the chair before him, and under the seat, for any sort of clues or information]
[still looking out the window, frowning as he searches the area for any kind of wildlife; given their past luck, not to mention the nature of the community itself, he wouldn't be surprised if they'd been randomly dropped in the middle of a jungle full of hungry lions...]
[he turns his attention back to the inside of the car, noting the person in the seat next to him was waking up]
Well, whatever it is, we're probably safer in here. [pause] Then again, I guess that would depend on where its taking us, but at least the sight of a large, moving vehicle might deter anything that's outside, right?
[of course, as he says this, the engine suddenly dies]
((OOC: Tif says you can assume there are pamphlets with maps in the pockets of the seat. ♥))

[Peering out the windows with close attention.] It's not moving all that fast, and I don't see any buildings, though... isn't that a fence? [No sooner does he say this, but they come to a halt anyway.]
...
[Points to a high concrete barrier just visible] That looks rather...ominous, don't you think?
[LET'S CALL IT A LUNCHBOX FOR REXES INSTEAD?]thricedeadwindJune 5 2009, 21:31:26 UTC
[Eyebrow] Unless we become surrounded by ... cannibals, or some other pathetic group of characters from a poorly-researched jungle adventure.
[And then they've stopped. Zechs stiffened. He's got pamphlets and maps, but he's barely looking at what they say on the cover. He's only opening the map up, to try to see where we are.]
Hey... [frowns and hits the gas pedal a few times to no avail; he looks for a key or some kind of mechanism to start the truck again, but finds nothing]
[with a sigh, he turns to look out the window... and gets another sinking feeling at the sight of the large fence. something about this seems familiar, but he can't quite put his finger on it...]
[at Zechs' words, he turns around in his seat and tries to get a look at the pamphlet]
[he seems to surprise even himself by speaking up, after doing nothing but listening until now. tears his eyes away from the window to turn and look at everyone else.] ....wait, what kind of dinosaurs?

[Oh look, teases are emerging and fluttering about the interior of the jeep, some of them slipping out into the forest beyond]

[Shoots a look at Tyki. There's another man in the Jeep Ford with them and he doesn't want to uselessly frighten strangers.]
[Calm. Rational. Someone has to be the sane one.] ... Wright. You have not abducted us, so I shall assume the community likely has.

[Rubs his face] Hmm. Maybe I should take a look around and try to figure out where we are? Who's driving this thing, anyway?

[Watches Phoenix flail about, his eyes narrowing.]
This is an automated vehicle. [Thinking, looking outside] Perhaps we are at ... a resort?
[A resort virus is vastly preferable to anything they experienced so far, but he doubts they're that lucky.]

[....wait. there wasn't supposed to be anyone else in the bunker.]
[opens his eyes, squinting at the light. this....wasn't the bunker. why was he in a jeep? who was he with?] Ah....

[sighs, relieved that he's not driving at least, but that doesn't answer the question of where they are]
[glances out the window, noting the jungle atmosphere with a sinking feeling]
A resort in the middle of a jungle...?
