Jelly Beans & Skittles - Chapter 1
Sophie and Sian stepped out of the car and got their cases out the boot and rolled them behind them as they leaned against the car doors and looked up at the building before them, Manchester University. They had both decided to go to the same university and share a dorm to cut down on costs and to be together. The car window rolled down as a cheerful man popped his head out the window.
“Sian, you be a good girl now and do me proud!” The man smiled happily as Sian gave him a grin and a enthusiastic nod.
“Sophie, I know we have not always seen eye to eye but, you are what is best for my daughter even if at first I was not the most welcoming.” Sophie smiled at the man as he continued.
“You look after our girl and we will be just fine, now come here both of you.” The man said holding back the tears as he exited the car and wrapped his arms around the girls.
“Dad! Stop, you're embarrassing us!” Sian squealed playfully trying to pull away from her dad.
“Right, yeah...sorry.” Vinnie said with a grin as he wiped his eyes with his hand.
“Bye Vinnie.” Sophie said with a smile as she hugged him once more.
“Bye dad.” Sian smiled happily hugging him one last time before he got back into the car and started the engine.
“Bye girls, look after each other and do me proud!” He said as he drove off.
“Ready?” Sian asked with a smile offering her hand to the brunette.
“Ready!” Sophie beamed taking the offered hand as they slowly walked to the student entrance with their cases wheeling behind.
