Yo, dudes and dudettes. I have a large order of business here, so I hope you take the time to read everything because I'd really like some opinions. ♥
1) Taken Characters List. With Kristel's departure, a few of her duties have been given to me, most notably the upkeep of the taken characters list. One of the things I'd like to do with it is move it over to the journals so people can comment there when they've been approved for a character. The form to fill out would look similar to the one in the concrit directory.
Like so:
friend add CHAR_JOURNAL
FANDOM NAME
└ CHARACTER'S FIRST AND LAST NAME //
CHAR_JOURNAL → played by
MUN_JOURNAL It would help me keep up with the Friend Add list and would make it simple to copy and paste the new character information into the TC list. The downside is, of course, something else for you to fill out when your character is accepted. That would make a form for the PD, a form for the TC, and an optional form for the concrit directory, which can be filled out at any time or not at all.
Overkill? Your thoughts, please. :)
2) Elimination of the Drop Post. With people commenting to the TC list as their characters are accepted, we thought it might save time to eliminate the drop post altogether and have players comment to the TC list when they're dropping characters as well. The one week grace period would, of course, remain in place.
3) Hiatus and Reserves. Not urgent, but we'd love to hear some suggestions on ways we can improve the hiatus and reservation posts. How are they as they stand now? Can you see any ways to improve them?
4) Last but not least... Condensing. We realize we have a lot of lists going (TC, PD, CD...) and have been trying to come up with a feasible way to condense them, but there are several pros and cons (for example: I had initially wanted to combine the TC list with the concrit directory, but we'd run into the problem of people not realizing they can go there for concrit--especially new players. Besides which, after some consideration, I think it's just too much for one list).
Suggestions on ways to feasibly lighten the list load while maximizing efficiency would be awesomely appreciated. ♥
I believe that's it!
