Maraich is pregnant. Currently going through the Figaro-plot, not exactly canon but converting/changing it to fit DDD. No plans on losing the baby or anything considering he's a major canon character.
Oh, and on a different note, when I first apped Klaus I did sort of put up a warning post that he's a bit racist/sexist/homophobic/probably a bunch of other things.
I also have it linked in his perma-top OOC post here. That's good, right?
It'd be kind of hard to play Klaus without him ever being offensive to somebody considering he seems to be prejudiced against everything but Germans. I don't mind people yelling at him or characters finding him intolerable - it's kind of IC that no one can tolerate being around him.
Yeah, you've put up tons of warnings, it's just for explicit language or something; like were he to call someone a 'faggot,' you'd probably have to IM the other person to see how comfortable they are being in a situation where they'd have to confront that, IC.
I'd say no, but some people are honestly generally offended by the loose use of the word 'fag,' I'd just give a small ooc note asking if it'd be okay and if they say no, leave it at that or find another way to say what you need to say. XD;; "gb2/gaia/ nooblit" "what is this bullshit?" etc etc
Yuan just pulled an EPIC STUPID and tried to off himself, but fortunately Jade intervened. Given that the entire Tales crew is mad as hell at him for trying that, it's not going to be happening again. XD; (This was all plotted out with the players involved and everyone was okay with it, just for the reference.)
Also, question... regarding death, what needs to be warned for? Is, say, a character talking about a canon death something that needs a heads-up, or are you specifically referring to deaths that happen within RLs or the like?
just for actual deaths happening; like were yuan to off himself for real and die and then be auto-rezed by any means, you'd have to run that through us.
I'd probably just say be careful with some characters talking about HOW people died, in case that triggers others; talking about death is no big deal but like, talking about how a family member shot themselves or how someone died of cancer or something more particular may make some people uncomfortable. I'd suggest just lj-cutting stuff like that, maybe?
In regards to 2-a, I want to just put myself out there as a willing reference for any and all religious issues -- if there is ANYTHING anybody wants to know more about (regarding their character's faith, i.e. Quatre, Sanzo, etc. or religious ANYTHING in general) on the topic, please please please talk to me. I can help.
I-I know this isn't... exactly pertinent to the situation at hand, but I've been meaning to mention this but I didn't want to make a huge post on the OOC community, 'cause I'm not a mod or PR or anything. XDDD;;
D-did I mention that I am a religious studies major, lol? Fourth year, and going also for an anthropology minor. I know my shit, that's the bottom line. 8|
Yeah, so, in Issei's canon, he's the son of the head of a Buddhist temple. And he has an older brother, so, clearly reproduction and such aren't forbidden in his branch of Buddhism. (Then again, there still aren't any women at the temple.) He also mentions that his branch doesn't forbid meat or alcohol.
What I'm asking is if there actually is any branch that doesn't forbid those things, and if so what? I'd really like to know if there's a specific kind of Buddhist I can assume he is, or if the game's creator was just... making this up.
Oh, oh, and also? Do I have to cut anything Shuraiya has to say about bounty hunting? I mean, he's never killed (or planned to kill) anybody from the community, but still, to be safe...? He talks about hunting pirates often and talks pretty casually about killing and justice and being a general angsty shit, but I can tone it down if it makes anybody uncomfortable. XD;
I'm basically going to reiterate what Norry said up above (someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong): as long as you're not including something, like, the gory details of someone's death, I think it's fair game.
The rule wasn't meant to be as imposing as it sounds. I don't think anyone's going for "FOMG ANYTHING THAT MIGHT OFFEND SOMEBODY SOMEWHERE HAS TO BE BEHIND A CUT" because... that would be a lot of stuff. XD But if it's a subject that's generally considered sensitive--like the issues listed above--and your character will be going into great, introspective detail about them, that's when I think it's time to put it under a cut with a warning.
Other than that, I wouldn't do anything differently. ♥

... so. I suppose I ought to be glad that I only picked Alle up long after the "sadistic killing of HRL personnel in a horrible way by Halle" episode happened. |D;;;

That makes sense to me; I think that's a good policy. LJ-cut with a specific warning, in other words?
