Patty Larkin and June Birthdays

I've been trying to get KRSC to play this awesome Patty Larkin song forever. It's called "Inside Your Painting" and includes the lyrics "You're playing harmonica/I'm reading erotica." Every once in a while I'll send an email to their request email address. Once I got a reply the next day that the system had been down and they didn't get the request until too late. Every other time I guess they didn't get it or just didn't play it. Tonight I actually called. I know my mom will recognize the number on the phone bill, but I thought Screw it, and called them. The man played the song immediately. I was so happy. Then right at the word harmonica I lost the connection. BITCH! Pirating software doesn't seem to work on my computer. I'll have to have somebody download it for me. It's really a great song. Patty Larkin is a wonderful and versatile artist, with songs ranging from the beautifully melancholy "Coming Up For Air" to the peppy and coquettish "Inside Your Painting" to a great cover of Warren Zevon's "Tenderness on the Block." I highly recommend all of you look into her music.

And now I'd like to give a shout out to the Marvelous Miss Meisel. Eep the ride, Meisel. Always remember to Eep the ride.

I just bought a friend's birthday present on eBay. I'm so excited. On a different note, Mom says she's going down to OKC the weekend after I get home (which is also the weekend after Phill's birthday) and that I should tag along and chill with the Meltons. It's high time I played a challenging game of Clue. You're goin' down, Mustard.

Shit. I need to get Phillip both a birthday and a graduation present, and I have no idea what to get him. Speaking of, Claremore kids--I don't know if you really care or not but he's going to TU next year.
