Long time no see...
So I am working in this Japanese bank and undergoing training with a batch of 8 other Graduate Trainees. We have this date' to celebrate our pay day, and this time we chose Cafe Iguana.
Some of my colleagues said that I suggested the place but I sorta remember while we were shooting emails to one another, somebody else suggested that and I just said yes (albeit quite enthusiastically).
As you may already know... Cafe Iguana's drinks are superb but the food is just average. If you order any main course chances are half of it is filled with beans. A female colleague managed to filter out every piece cos she doesn't eat beans and it occupied almost half a plate. So forget about the food, I really miss going there with JW and Jonathan and ordering that hilariously named Horny Toad magarita!
Anyway, over a few glasses of magarita another female colleague told us that her father asked her to buy an insurance policy with a $1,000 monthly premium. Given that since we started working, we have our company insurance, and also that compulsory DPS from CPF worth another $46k, does she need to another Life Policy? Even if personal ownership is important, paying that amount for someone who just started working is madness.
