Hello all. I don't post in here nearly enough do I? But I have a dilemma that needs a bit of assistance, so I won't apologise for bending your ears a little.
I have a friend who isn't exactly the most reliable person - and comes up with lame excuses for avoiding get-togethers. In one example she couldn't make our engagement party because "she wasn't sure if she could get a lift there and back" even though we offered her one.
Anyway my birthday is coming up soon and I want to go for a meal with friends, as most things I plan tend to go wrong somehow I sent a bundle of texts round inviting everyone along and asking for a definite yes or no so that I can book the table. This particular young lady already knew about it a week or so back and had given a positive response to coming along.
Her reply today reads that she and her fianc
