This is the really wild/fun part of the challenge! Since I'm frighteningly obsessed with prompt tables, I've gathered tables from around the LJ writing community and have created several specifically for this community. Your task is to either choose one or more pre-made tables to work from, or create your own table, using the prompts in the tables below.
Wait, these tables don't all have the same number of prompts! Exactly how many prompts am I supposed to complete?
Any round number! You can choose to complete an entire pre-made table, or complete only a portion of that table. If you choose to create your own table, you can pick anywhere from 10 to 100 prompts. Just specify, when you comment on the Claims Post, how many prompts you'll be tackling. 10, 35, 80, 100, it doesn't matter! It's your challenge!
You said I can create my own table. Can I use prompts from other sources?
Absolutely. Heck, I don't even mind if you use an entire table from another challenge! If you want to assemble a table from fifteen sources, or straight out of your head, it's all gravy. Just let me know in your comment to the Claims Post if you're using a table or prompts from another source, and give me the link to their location(s), and we're good.
Exactly how do I create this table, anyhow?
At the bottom of this post I've provided an example of a customizable table, with instructions on how to fill it out. There's a link with it to the source, and to the code you'll need.
So... am I restricted to either writing all fic or creating all art/graphics for my challenge?
Heck no!! Feel free to mix and match your fanworks. If a prompt gives you a plot bunny, follow it! If a particular image pops into your head, and you'd love to see it as a manip, go for it! It's literally all good, and vids, podfic, fan mixes, etc, are all welcome.
Can I use more than one prompts per fanwork? Or vice versa?
Only one prompt per fanwork, and vice versa, please. The exception to this rule is icons, though; feel free to make up to 3 icons per prompt.
Okay, so now I've got my table picked out, what's next?
Post your table somewhere on your LJ, and comment to the Claims Post with a link to it. You'll be given a tag to use when posting, and voila! Challenge made.
