Jason? [Connor blinks, letting the knife drop, his eyes hazy and drugged.] I warned him. He had no right.
[If Jason checks he'll find every cut was aimed to incapacitate rather than to kill. The man will survive if he gets help. Connor however is dressed in nothing but a hospital gown and is covered in bruises. He looks like he's been beaten and roughly handled.]
Jason checks, he has to as much as he'd rather not. He thumbs a button on his key-chain that will bring EMS and the police down. "Let's get you out of here, hmm" Jason picks up the knife, wrapping it in a handkerchief, no point in leaving prints lying around, And guides Connor away from the scene
"Know where you are then, that's good." It means he can take them around the corner to a safer spot without too much worry. "Come on. Just in here and you can sit down."
I was in Dr. Sivana's laboratory so this must be the Hub. [He strains to keep his mind on task, grasping at logic. He goes wherever Jason guides, sitting with a pained groan, biting his lip.]
He found out about my new healing abilities. GA doesn't know he took me. [He shifts and swallows biting back the pain.] I need to get clean. I couldn't fight him till the drugs wore off enough. [He's clearly avoiding the question.]
Once... once their drugs are out of my system I should be... [He shakes himself.] Can you check my back for me? I feel...sore.
[He turns, trying to keep the flimsy gown around him. The back of his neck is black with bruising where he's been held down and his lower back looks like he's been beaten with something heavy. There's blood between his buttocks.]
I can stand. [But he does need Jason's help to get up again.] Thank you for helping me. [He follows Jason to the bathroom, limping a little unsteadily.] I'm sorry to involve you in this.
I'll be fine. Thank you. [He takes his time getting himself cleaned up. By the time he makes his way back to the living area, his eyes are clearer and some of the bruises are starting to fade a little.] I feel I owe you an explanation, in so much as I can give it.
[He thanks Jason for the tea and sits, gathering his thoughts.] This is the second time the Hub has brought me here in times of need. A year ago I was held in Dr Sivana laboratory, made a slave by a neural patch and a regime of drugs. I was brought here and freed but... I have no memory of my life before that time. My name, my parentage, my hero identity; all these things I know only because I'm told they are true.
[He looks down at his hands and the slight shake in them.] I lost many things, including the skills that once made me a hero. My father... never accepted that that part of me was ended, even as I tried to make a new life for myself.
I was travelling when I was caught in a terrorist attack. Something about the attack triggered... speed and precision in me, greater than before. It only happens in moments of extreme duress. My father was thrilled to think he could somehow fix me and had me tested by every hospital and clinic he could find. It's hardly a surprise Dr Sivana found out
