...Robin, huh? Am I younger where you're from, or did Batman and I never break up the band?

Both? I'm sorry, this is a little... I suppose I should be used to this kind of thing by now. I'm in an alternate universe? [He looks around.]

Yes and no. This place seems to be...kind of between worlds, with connections to a lot of different places. I'm not from here, either. I come and go.

It's nice here. Pretty much everyone's friendly.

Interesting. And you're...older. Do you still go by Robin, or...

[Dick grins.] There's a new Robin, back in Gotham.

I go by Nightwing, now.

[small_town_man]

[He looks surprised for a moment, then smiles, warm and bright.] Nightwing, huh? Sounds familiar.

Yeah, see, some guy told me this story...

You were there for me after Bruce fired me. That meant a lot, and I never get to say, "thank you," enough.

I'm honored that you'd take your name from a Kryptonian hero. It's nice to see a piece of that live on.

Bruce...fired you? I'm sorry. I can't even imagine that. He gets in his moods, but... [But he loves Dick so much. He's so proud of him, loves working with him. It's obvious to anyone who knows the man.] I'm glad the Clark in your world was a good friend to you when you needed it.

It seemed fitting. And I wanted to... Well, Bruce has always been important to me, but so have you. [He smiles a bit.] My costume now is black and blue. Your blue.

You really.... You helped me a lot. I've always felt lucky to have you as a friend.

Oh, Dick... [He puts a hand on your arm.] I feel the same.

It's amazing to see you grown up like this!

Heh, thanks. You look almost exactly the same. [He pats your other arm with his.]

Don't go spreading that "grown up" business around. You'll ruin my rep. People might get expectations. [He grins.] I guess I'm too big for piggy back rides, now. Hopefully not too big to spank, though. [Eyebrow].

Really? That's good to know. [He's curious... Does that mean he'll age well? Won't age at all? That he'll just age slowly?]

I'm pretty sure people already have expectations. You just started leading a team, in my world.

[That makes him laugh.] Well, its not like you'd be too heavy, but we'd get some funny looks! Do I still take you flying, sometimes? [He's smiling warmly. Taking Robin flying is one of his favorite things. Dick has such an infectious personality, there's no way anyone could see the boy that happy and not enjoy himself.]

I've never minded funny looks. [Dick leans back against the wall, arms crossed, hips canted.] Oh, you take me flying. Not so much since you got married, but you still make time for me, sometimes.

[small_town_man]

... Married? [There's more - He didn't ignore Dick's spanking comment as much as not know what to do with it, and the way Dick is standing and the inflection on his words is causing Clark flush a little.] Are you - if that's a joke it's not a very nice one Dick. [Lana is the only woman, other than Ma, who even knows who he is, and she's very happy right where she is.]

[But he can't help looking hopeful.] Really?
