Not like it can kill me. [Jason mutters darkly.] I'm already dead. I'm just their tool.

"You're more than that." He sits on the steps next to Jason. "Want to tell me what's got you so down?"

[He shrugs, shifting his wings to make room for Tim, his feather's blushing slightly.] Just a dose of reality, I guess. I only got brought back to makes sure the kid after me doesn't do anything as dumb as I did

"It's a job, one they picked the best guy for. He's lucky you're there to watch out for him."

If I was watching over him. Instead I'm here, confused as hell as to what I'm meant to be. What I'm for.

"I wish I could answer that for you, but I can't. I'm glad you're here though. I'm happy to know you."

[Jason snorts softly and turns to cup Tim's chin, kissing him tenderly] And you are too kind and sweet for words. I'm sorry, i shouldn't be offloading on you like this.

Tim kisses back, and tries not to make a face at Jason's smoky breath. "That's what boyfriends are for, isn't it?"

[he backs off when he realises how foul his breath must be.] Sorry. I didn't think... [But the boyfriend thing makes him smile.] Thanks... That means a lot to me. More than you know. Just wish I could return the favour somehow.

"It's okay. Here." He digs a pack of gum out of his pocket offering it to Jason. "You're at the top of my list of people to come vent to, I promise."

Thanks beautiful. [He smiles, leaning his head on Tim's shoulder and wrapping a wing around him.] Still can't believe I'm allowed to be around someone like you. I thought watching over Tim in my world was a punishment for being so dumb but you... fuck! You're just so fucking beautiful and good.

"I'm just a regular person." He reaches for Jason's hand twining their fingers together. "I think you're beautiful too."

[Jason grins and brings their entwined hands to his lips.] Tell the truth. You just love me for my wings.

"They are pretty." He strokes the soft feathers with his free hand. "But if you want the truth, It's your eyes that get me."
