She gives him a warm smile in return and gives his upper arm a brief squeeze. "You been overdoing it again?" she teases, already knowing the answer before he has a chance to reply.
The hug is wholeheartedly returned, the depth of her affection for him plainly evident. When she pulls away though, her smile has waned. "I've been better," she replies honestly. "Someone left me a little present on my desk last night."
[Dick frowns and automatically checks the letter for fingerprints or clue to the sender's identity] Have you spoken to Bruce or did the Hub catch you before you could?
"I just finished speaking with him. He took it better than I expected him to," she states, echoing her earlier statement. "I almost got the feeling he was expecting it."
A knowing smile mirrors his own. Bruce makes it his business to be prepared and stay informed. "No. It was back home," she answers. "The Holland Corporation's been trying to buy up land in the East End for months. I guess I shouldn't surprised either that it's come to this."
[Dick leans on his canes, balancing heavily to cup her shoulder] Then trust him to deal with it and enjoy the time you have here. It is quite nice once you get past the craziness.

She hands him a letter encased in a plastic bag. A brief read will reveal an unveiled death threat.
