[Tim comes home from his shift with a bag of groceries tucked under his arm.] Hello, Max. [He smiles softly at her.] What are you working on?

Hey. [So focused she doesn't even look up right away.]

Some upgrades in trackers. Last ones got fried with interference. [Rubs at her eyes and finally glances up.] Need some help?

Oh, no, I don't need help. You look busy, anyway... [Tim unloads the bag into the kitchen.] I made chili dogs at the bar and brought a few back with me. The customers said they were pretty good, if you'd like one.

Not too busy. [She follows him, deciding that now is a good time to take a break. Plus, she hasn't eaten since ... breakfast? Max smiles.] Work was good then, I take it?

[Tim heats them up since they cooled off since he walked home and stopped by the store on his way. He slides a plate over to her with a smile.] It was good...

And something else that was very pleasant happened.

Thanks, kid. [She takes the plate and gives him a curious look.] What's that?

[Tim really can't help the wide smile on his face as he says.] Conner found his way back here. My Conner.

[And you are now getting a hug, Tim.] Schway! When'd he arrive?

[She is definitely getting a hug back.] He arrived yesterday. I really would like you to meet him.

[Daw, its a family moment.]

I'd like that, too. [A pause. She knows how Tim can be, and she wants to make sure he knows this.] You know, this is just as much your place as it is mine. I meant what I said about your friends staying here, if you want.

I did invite him to come over a little later... [He blushes a bit when he says the next part.] You really wouldn't mind him staying, with us being... more than friends? I don't want to make you uncomfortable, in any way.

[Max gives him a reassuring squeeze.] Never. I mean it. He's welcome here, always.

[captured_bird]

[Tim squeezes her back and presses a kiss to her cheek.] Thank you, Max.

[knocks on the door to the apartment, still not sure if he's at the point where he's allowed to just walk in... it's really not his apartment]

Max next, then Conner, then Tim. Good pattern for you guys?

I'll get the door, Max. It's probably Conner.

[Tim smiles again at her before getting the door and greeting Conner with a hug.] Thank you for coming. I'd like for you to meet Max... [Tim leads Conner back to the kitchen where he and Max were eating.]

[Max can't help but smile back, it's good to see Tim so happy.] 'Kay.

[She moves her plate to the side, getting out a few glasses for drinks. She can be a good hostess, even if it often isn't...on her high list of priorities.]
