"This is mine, right?"
Tim huffs above him at the slide of Kon's fingers over his sides. "Is what yours?"
"Your heart." Kon presses a kiss to Tim's sternum and tightens his hands on his hips. "It's mine, right?"
The bed shakes a little as one of Tim's legs wraps around his bare back and Tim's hands rub over his shoulders. "Didn't I already say it was?"
"Not since my birthday."
Tim laughs into Kon's kiss and tangles one hand in his hair. "So sorry, you doofus. It's yours."
"Forever?"
Tim laughs again as Kon kisses his cheek. "Sure, forever and ever and ever."
Kon grins against his shoulder. "Didn't know you were such a sap, Rob."
Tim's laugh becomes a sharp yelp when Kon scrapes his teeth over the skin of Tim's sternum. Kon meant it to be a bite, but there's not enough flesh to get a good grip. "Kon?"
"Just marking it as mine." Kon sucks instead.
"Ooooh…" Tim's hand tightens on his shoulder. "Why?"
Kon does his best to attempt a nibble, but gives up after a second. "Because it's mine."
Tim laughs, breathy and just this side of a gasp. "And who exactly was the sap?"
Kon chuckles with him and there's the beginnings of a nice hickey forming in the middle of Tim's chest. Tim glances down and shakes his head. "Not the best place, is it?"
"It's not the worst?" Kon doesn't mean for it to be a question, but Tim's legs are tightening around his waist, his arms are pushing against his shoulders, and he's moving.
Tim smiles, successful at switching their positions. "I know better ones."
"Are you going to show me?"
Tim huffs and Kon leans up for a kiss. "I would if your skin wasn't physically incapable of getting bruises."
"I get bruises."
Tim rolled his eyes and stretched out on top of Kon. His fingers danced across the waistband of Kon's underwear. "Let me rephrase that: if I weren't incapablable of giving you bruises. I don't have super strength."
Kon laughed. "You could still try."
"Do you want me to?" Tim's smile is only half Bat.
"Bring it on Wonder Boy."

Kon watched closely the next time Tim got dressed. Watched as black and red covered his bruise scattered skin and belts took the place of Kon's wandering hands.
He smiled when Tim winced. The hickey over his sternum was right under Red Robin's insignia. Kon imagined it as a protective wall between Tim's heart and the Bat's 'Mission'.
Tim glanced up at him a smirked. Kon shrugged. "You said it was mine."
Tim pulled up his cowl with a smile. "I'll let you know when it's faded, you possessive idiot."

aww, I really liked this fill, Kon and his stupid possessiveness and the schmoopyness, and I like the significance of the robin symbol reminding him of the mission, and how now there's something just a little bit closer to his heart.
Author!Anon, that was way beyond my expectations ;A; you took a fairly simple prompt and turned it into something so deep and just *insert keyboard smashing of utter delight* i am in love! *skips away into the sunset with the beautiful fill!*

fffffffffffuck me that was beautiful. i love how really, really deliciously possessive kon was. everything was written wonderfully and the explanation is even more yummy; i just loved EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS.

Maybe it was because he wasn't a Bat, but the idea of a reminder of 'the Mission' right over Tim's heart was not a comforting thought.
I think that sums up the difference between the bats and the supers pretty perfectly.
