Captain James Kirk
Patient seen at ten day post-op check-up. Primary injuries sustained: internal injuries, blunt trauma, various fractures. Upon examination primary injuries healed satisfactorily.
Phaser burn to chest healed.
Outer dermal layers of skin regenerated, no infection noted. Skin is heavily tattooed along the face, throat, and torso. Timetable for removal of tattoos being discussed with patient.
Captain is cleared to return to duty, one week light action.
ADDENDUM: Psychological evaluation of patient conducted. Mental state appropriate for circumstances. Patient dealing with stress, able to separate it from daily life.
Recommend additional psych screenings at monthly intervals regarding this incident (re: torture, kidnapping, father).
Lt George Kirk
Patient seen at ten days post surgery. Primary injuries sustained: crushed thorax, second degree phaser burns to the chest and torso, lacerations to the torso and back, multiple contusions and fractures, internal injuries - healed satisfactorily.
Toxins in the bloodstream have been eliminated. Additional round of antibiotics not recommended.
Patient was being seen by me prior to injuries for nightmares and other personal problems. Patient admits to still having nightmares since his return.
Lt Kirk is cleared to return to duty. Appointment made to resume therapy sessions, possible group sessions with other family members.
Communication to Acting Captain Spock
Captain James Kirk and Lt George Kirk have been medically released back to their official duties.
