And now for something serious

I just came across this interesting Article, which has some VERY interesting information in it.

President vs. the pill

We all know Bush's stance on Abortion, and how he believes it should not be allowed (under any circumstance) due to his religious beliefs. Unfortunately, it appears that his view go WAY beyond just the whole Abortion issue, but extend to the point of birth-control. It seems his record is such that it is making it much harder for a woman to get any sort of contraceptive to help prevent unwanted pregnacies. I knew the guy had issues with Abortion (understandable).... and believed in abstinence.... but appearently the guy is so closed minded and so closed off the the realities which we currently live in that he believes (and has worked to trying to force it on everyone else) that abstinence is the only form of birth control that should be allowed.

Hell... I know several females who have gone on the pill, not because of it's birth-control properties, but because of it's ability to help regulate their systems.

If you are concerned about this, I suggest you read the article. I admit that I haven't had the opportunity to fact check everything yet, but considering the arguments made, and comments I've heard Bush make, I wouldn't doubt this one bit. What's scarier, is that from reading the comments in the LJ articles I've seen this posted in, It is an issue also effecting us on the local level as well.
