Michael J. Fox/Rush Limbaugh controversy
I know I'm a bit late on this one, but I feel the need to put something down. I didn't really get a chance to examine the recent ads supporting candidates who were in favor of embryonic stem cell research until today, nor did I see Rush Limbaugh's comments and subsequent interviews with Michael J. Fox until this evening. I think most of you probably know where I stand on the issue, but nothing I could say can compare to the dignity, intelligence, and grace with which Michael J. Fox has responded to the allegations. Many people in the science community wonder how people can be against embryonic stem cell research, but that's not an issue I even want to address. Michael J. Fox has more at stake than most anybody who can discuss the issue, yet he still shows respect for people who are against the research. He is on point, and it is extremely moving and impressive.
