Daisy was grateful for some sunshine. The park probably wasn't the best place to be, seeing how there was probably mud everywhere, but Daisy was tired of staying inside all day long.

The princess was in for a shock when she reached the west side of the park. Thorny vines! Everywhere! What the heck was going on? Did the rain bring on some kind of overgrowth?

As she looked around, wondering what could have caused these brambles to suddenly appear, she caught a very familiar-looking plant being sitting in the sun. One with a very large head and yellow petals.

"Oh great," muttered Daisy. "It's him. This explains everything." She raised her voice a smidgen. "Petey, what are you doing here?"

Petey sniffed the air loudly with his non-existent nostrils.

That scent.. Perfume..? Or.. Soap..? Shampoo..? A lady..?

He rose to his feet.

"You know me..? Are you the lady who hit me after I ate her..?"

"What? No! It's me, Princess Daisy! ... You don't recognize me, do you?"

Petey stood and thought for a while.

"Daisy... Like the flower..?"

No Petey. You are totally not getting it.

"No, not like the flower," said Daisy patiently. "Well, daisies are flowers, yes... but in this case, we're talking about me. Daisy. As in Princess Daisy of Sarasaland. Um, you know Sarasaland, right? There ARE Piranha Plants living there..."

She tried to think of another way to remind Petey of who she was. "Um... I'm Princess Peach's friend? I'm pretty sure you know who Peach is."

Petey scratched behind one of his petals with his leaf.

"I don't know, is she?"

Daisy was getting very confused. Maybe trying to remind Petey of who she was wasn't a good idea. He was never particularly bright to begin with.

"Uh, you know what, nevermind. Just tell me what you're doing here, please. And did you make this mess?"
