I've never been much for politeness. I'm also not one to tell someone what to do with their life, but I have to make an exception in this case. Would you really rather blow your brains out than face treatments that could make you healthy again, man?

It really all depends. And the key word there is could.

Listen, I don't know why I'm telling you this or if you even care but I knew this kid in grade school. He had leukemia, man. He went through the treatments and it was some fucking awful shit. It went on for over a year those treatments and he was so fucking miserable the whole time. But he stuck through them and went on to live his life. And he was a little kid, man. And so much in medicine has changed since then. They've got drugs and shit to combat the side effects of the chemo now. It's some horrible, terrifying shit but odds are, you'll live through it. Get busy living or get busy dying. If you're already ready to give in when you don't even have your results back, well fuck, you may as well give up now.

Not that my fucking opinion matters here, but I had to say something.

I went through high school with a guy who ended up having a lung removed because the cancer wrapped around his lung, his aorta and his heart, and after a year of treatments, he died.I don't want to be that person. I really don't. I know I must sound like I'm out of my mind, but I'm really not.

Then don't be that person. Your state of mind has a lot more to do with these things sometimes than you'd even realize.
