It's been a while. Again O_o

March is going to be one hell of a month. I still have 2 papers, 2 group projects, 1 final exam, 1 exams-and-other-shits compilation, and 1 report coming up for the next 3 weeks.

Man, this undue stress and unusual weather is giving me the sniffles. *sneezes*

Time between cramming typing papers are spent on the Internet, and one site I recently discovered was NationStates.net. This is a sort-of online game where you get to govern your very own country! The events and political situation in your country will depend on the decisions you make on the Issues sent to you for resolution.

On that note, welcome to the Democratic Republic of Mihashi! Been trying to figure out how to turn it into a Liberal Social Democracy (if that's even possible), since it's my political leaning. But the nation tendss to swing between Democratic Socialists, Liberal Democratic Socialists, and Inoffensive Centrist Democracy from time to time due to my decisions. Oh well, at least I'm able to keep it from turning into a Capitalist Paradise.

Guys, remember this? OK, maybe not. That's the anime council job that ABS-CBN was offering, BTW.

One very boring Single Awareness Day... night, I contemplated on whether to grab an opportunity for that job. Well, wala namang mawawala kung susubukan, right? So I sent in a (very bare-bones) resume to them via e-mail.

More than a week later, I received a next message saying that ABS-CBN Program Acquisitions Department is scheduling me for a job interview the next day! I had to move it to an earlier time though, because it was a Wednesday and I have BC 100 class in the afternoon. POINT IS, MY FIRST JOB INTERVIEW YAY~ Was very excited and nervous at the time. Well, mostly nervous, because I more often than not FAIL at interviews. (UP AME peeps are very aware of this :D) But then my friends over at ZOH assured me that the interview will not make me nervous at all. That, and the fact that I don't need to wear a business formal attire XD

So the next day, I went to the ABS-CBN Complex, and checked in via the Sgt. Esguerra gate. My entry was delayed by the receptionist because they didn't have a local number for the Program Acquisitions Department. *facepalm* With all those shenanigans taken care of, I proceeded to look for the Wowowee studio, because my ZOH friends said the department's office is near there. (Thank God my interview is scheduled at 10:30 AM, otherwise I have to deal with the noise that is Willie Revillame & Co. The department was literally just a few steps away from the Wowowee studio entrance *A*) Celebrities? I was only able to meet my future bosses on the News Department XD the three top bosses of the News & Current Affairs Department. Also exchanged greetings with Kuya Kim, fresh from his [Showtime] hosting gig.

Proceeded to ask from the security guard where the department office was. Apparently, it was the first time the guards ever heard of said department. *double facepalm* Thankfully, his superior was able to show the way to the office. Now, you may be thinking that the Program Acquisitions Department has a very large office, since they have to handle the acquisition of foreign programs to be shown on EIGHT different channels, and they have to store all of those tapes and stuff like that. Unfortunately, you'd be wrong *A* It would be an understatement to say that their office is cramped, but there's still room to go around. Note to ABS-CBN: GIVE THEM A BIGGER AND BETTER OFFICE PLZKTNX.

Had to wait a while since Ms. Kristine Gabriel, the quasi-HR officer of the department, stepped out. Once she arrived, she gave me an application form with essay questions on the best anime shown on Philippine TV, a review of a season of [Naruto], etc. My writing skills were definitely put to the test. Add the pressure that I'm a Journalism student IN UP -_-

Then came the interview with Ma'am Kristine. The interview went surprisingly well, and there was nothing in there that made me nervous. Well, I had difficulty maintaining eye contact while I was answering questions, but still. She thanked me for my active participation in the ABS-CBN Animation Facebook page. YAY XD According to her, the job is very much part-time in nature, only requiring us to go to the office once a month to *NON-DISCLOSURE*, e-mail  a *NON-DISCLOSURE* to them every Monday, and *NON-DISCLOSURE* their upcoming anime programs. (Will reveal those *NON-DISCLOSURE* things at a later time, once I determine that it is safe to reveal them to you. Hell, I'm not even sure if I'm allowed tell this story to you guys DX) She also told me that there would be a second interview, this time with the Department Head whose name escapes me right now, where I should prove that I truly am an anime otaku. They would text me if I qualify for the second interview, but the date for that interview would be announced later, since the Head is almost always on a business trip, buying foreign programs here and there.

I haven't received the text for a second interview, but then my friends haven't received theirs too. Here's to hoping I'll pass and get my very first job and salary. Well, it would mean that this job =/= Journalism career path, but any job experience will do, right?
