Tony recorded this landmark album in three locations in early 2006: Capitol Studios in Los Angeles; Bennett Studios in Englewood, New Jersey; and Abbey Road Studios in London. Producer Phil Ramone supervised the sessions, which, in keeping with a longstanding Bennett tradition, were recorded live, with each guest artist performing side-by-side with Tony. Tony's touring quartet -- Lee Musiker on piano, Gray Sargent on guitar, Paul Langosch on bass and Harold Jones on drums -- provided the basic accompaniments. Tony's sons helped out with Duets - An American Classic, making the album a Bennett family affair. The record was recorded and mixed by Dae Bennett at Dae's Bennett Studios in Englewood, New Jersey and executive produced by Danny Bennett, who's served as Tony's manager for more than two decades. With a set list of songs lovingly selected from the innumerable high points of Tony's six decades as a recording legend, Duets - An American Classic is a fitting crescendo to a career that only grows stronger with time.
