DC just jumped up into my lap.  He stayed for perhaps a minute, long enough for a bit of petting, but having a twelve- or thirteen-pound cat in my lap was a new experience, to be sure.

Addendum:  For the halibut, I just weighed him.  Sixteen pounds.  In contrast, Miranda weighs in at five.
