Another hotel room....
So in place of my normal Monday thing where I go over what I did last week I am just going to sit here and grumble for a moment, mostly because I forgot my logbook and other relevant crap that function as my brain so I am just going to skip it today and maybe I will do it tomorrow or then again maybe I will forget again... who knows could be fun to find out!
So a grumble'n we go. Today is day 4 of my Aux Power unit still not working. Yep still no freekin heat when I am parked. As I said the other day I spent it in a craptastic hotel and then it was time to get on the road again. So off I go and I had a killer idea... Laramie, WY. I had to stop there anyway and it was actually like warmish so I figured I would stop during the day sleep then fuel and roll that night to avoid freezing and the hassle of finding a hotel with truck parking. Welp I did just that! Just only um it didn't work out so well :P well the first part did, I slept great got up around 2230 ready to boogie only to find out that I-80 is shut down by the state cause of a stupid storm. They finally opened the road back up at 1400 the next day (well my company had it locked down too) Now the load I was on was supposed to deliver at 0800 that day so now I am the one thing that I absolutely HATE... I am late, Yeah I know that it wasn't my fault and there is nothing that I could do to change it one way or another it still drives me crazy. Didn't help that I had to spend the rest of the time getting up every 3 hours or so to start up the truck so that I didn't freeze and all but whatever. Now I have to put the hammer down and run to Salt Lake and then up to Boise to get myself back on schedule. I get to SLC at around 2330 that night and I don't know what the heck was going on in that town but the only hotel room available was almost $200 and my company wasn't going to spring for it :P so it was another cold arse night in the truck. Tonight though it is another hotel room somewhere in the middle of nowhere in Idaho and tomorrow its back on schedule. Oh and they are going to fix my APU!!!!!!!
Odd note... last night an old friend got back in touch with me and I am still oddly apprehensive about it who knows, guess thats part of being burned alot recentaly you start looking for motives. meh i wish it was easy like when i just trusted people like i used too. Maybe someday...
