I accomplished so much today, I want a gold star. FIrst, I hit a certain hated super center, because I needed mulch and a new bra and they are the only place that carries both (unless Home Dep0t has a lingerie section that I don't know about). I picked up a ton of garden stuff.
Moms: How do you pee in a public place? I had to pee bad and I had a cart full of stuff. The babies were riding in the cart, so I couldn't just leave it and take them in with me (unless I set them on the floor and EWWWWWW!). They wouldn't allow unpaid merchandise into the restroom. I was able to hold it until I got home, but I know that won't always be the case.

Got home and busted it in our backyard. Underneath our deck, we have decorative rock that is held in place by a wooden frame. However, on the other side of the frame, water kept settling. I was worried it was going to rot the wood post of the deck. To help deal with the problem, I put down tons of topsoil and mulch to build up the area, so hopefully the water will drain into the rest of the yard, instead of close to the house. On one end, I laid brick pavers to create an easy walkout. I planted liriope along side of the pavers (stolen from the overgrown common area of our development). After that I put in a border, which I filled with more topsoil and mulch. I planted a few more plants, but I don't remember what their names were. The babies hung out on a blanket and supervised me.

I cleaned the big toys out of our living room and moved them down to the basement, which we intend to be their playroom. I want the living room to look nice for whenever we have company, instead of looking like kidville. It is the first place people see and I don't want them to be assalted by that much plastic. I got a cute bin (technically a laundry hamper) to put some of their toys in and a blanket or two, so we can use the space as a family. I still need to work on the play room. I want it to be far more functional and look nicer. Right now, all our ugly furniture is dumped there, surrounded by toys. Spending money on playroom furniture doesn't seem like the smartest investment. I just want the stuff we have to work better for us.
