Well, fixing the mother-in-law car will cost $612 (first estimate) and we decided it was worth the risk to fix it. Dana asked why she couldn't drive one of our other cars, specifically the Audi ("since it's old, now"). We told her because we didn't want her taking it over like she did with the Grand Marquis with all her junk. She said she thought it was because we didn't trust her with it, which she thought was silly since we trusted her with our daughter. I can't bring myself to tell her that we *don't* exactly have full confidence in her in that regard, but that we have very little choice in the matter. She's been known to close herself off in the kitchen with the door closed while Caitlyn is in our room playing video games. We know this because my mom walked in unexpectedly and unannounced one day to discover this. Dana didn't even know my mom was in the house until she announced herself. Could've been anyone!
