What doesn't kill me, Makes me...

After processing all the information from Comic Con (Wonder Woman DTV!!), I'm glad to see the modern DCAU is still going strong and Bruce Timm still has a job (Still waiting for Zeta Project and Static Shock, WHV). After seeing a Superman-Doomsday trailer on a copy of 300 I rented, I was more excited and am looking forward to the back half of September. I think I always end up spending more on DVD's in the second half of the year.

Besides the sneaky behind the scenes stuff on my multiverse project, one may notice a couple months ago I summoned up the courage to add a contact link. I figure it's better that way so one doesn't feel forced to register with AI just to ask me something. So far, I got three emails, whoohoo!! It feels strange replying as a so-called authority but I guess I am one...2/3 deal with my lovely Timmverse Timeline. I've inspired one (hopefully in a good way) to start making his own. I think the other was a Khund question. My gosh, I hope James Tucker gets to do an Earthwar adaptation for LoSH (big honkin Khund invasion!!). It was on his list of dream stories for the series that he replied to at Comic Con. The other was Heroes of Lallar. From what I read, it's kind of a two hero teams collide type of story (and one of these heroes is named...Beast Boy, no relation, ha!).

Speaking of my website, I've been slow to finishing drafting Beyond bios with summer school winding down with the last of exams and my other hustles going on. But I finished 'R' today with the Royal Flush Gang. I think it was interesting that the induction of a common killer named Walker sowed the eventual downfall of this incarnation. All in all, I've got about 29 more bios to write then I can start making some files. I think I'm timing it well, I should do it the week before I start the Fall semester. After I finish off BB, I suppose I'll be done with the Timmverse (still waiting for Zeta Project and Static Shock, WHV) except for injecting stuff into the Timeline time to time. I can move on to expanding the site for the Winter. I really hope LoSH gets a full season set announcement by then. I don't find it ethical to screengrab from Internet downloads since the money doesn't go to WHV.

Internet-aside, I've been doing...mundane things!!! I found a coupon for Young Laundry, a dry cleaning business. Lucky thing as I needed to clean my one suit jacket for an upcoming ceremony in the fall. I think my mom introduced me to coupon hunting, good for a college student on a budget!

This vacation was more of a working holiday for me, one of the reasons was planning for my honor society NSCS. With all '05 founding members graduated except yours truly, I find myself guiding the new officers and taking on some more responsibility. After years of pre-mature leadership attempts, I know I'm ready this year and I look forward to the challenge and opportunity. After spending some time in the Law School Library, I finished writing the chapter's Constitution. For two years, we've been running, like a bastard child, without one. Basically, I looked at the generic three page supplement and beefed it out customized to our chapter to a two column style 11 page baby. I'm really proud of it, I think that'll look mighty nice on the resume (more of a secondary benefit to writing it) and might inspire members more or less.

Is it August? Life is a blur and so much a lesson that I should LJ more often as I forget so much as the days pass. School begins on the 20th and I'll have my double major complete in 2009, four semesters, left. It's been a ride. But I got lucky with my schoarship bids, I got a grant and scholarship so with textbooks I'll be paying 1/3 on my own. A good deal all in all. If my summer school grade can bump me up to 3.5, I can apply for a partial tution return from the student government which is always a good thing. As I mentioned earlier this year, I went on an aggressive bid to apply for scholarships with rising school costs and the quagmire that is standard of living. So far, I'm in good shape for these two up coming semesters. I don't have to rob that bank after all :>
