R.I.P. hide
Oh yes... And before I forget...
May 2nd, 1998 Hideto 'hide' Matsumoto passed away.
For those that don't know, he started a wonderful music career through the success of X Japan, the first successful rock group in Japan that pretty much created the Visual Kei scene that still influences Japanese street fashion today. He was their guitarist, and would've given Hendrix a run for his money he was so good at what he did. After the disbanding of X Japan hide began his own solo career with a band called Spread Beaver, and another one in America called Zilch. Unfortunately, he was never able to make it big in the states due to his sudden death.
After a late night drinking out in Japan, hide returned to his hotel room and suffocated himself with a towel wrapped around his neck to a doorknob. It's still unclear if his suicide was intentional or accidental, but unfortunately it happened.
But even today, people across the globe idolize him and his memory lives in.
