Title:  Food for the Soul
Author: dc_svfan
Fandom:  ER
Characters/Pairing: Kimberly Legaspi/Kerry Weaver

Table: In The Night
Prompt:  Long dark night of the soul

Rating:  PG
Warnings:  None, just angst.
Summary:  Kerry reflects on what Kim meant to her after Kim walked away at the end of “Witch Hunt”

Word Count:  200

Notes:  This came to me like a dream, except I am totally awake.

She screwed up, she had messed everything up. She knew it was too late the moments those elevator doors closed, she had really done it this time. She had let the one person who knew her better than anyone, who loved her more than anyone had ever done, who accepted her for who she was get away. Just because she was scared of what people might think.

Now, she was alone again. It was all over. She would be lucky if Kim ever did as much as look her way again, and she could feel her heart breaking into a thousand little pieces just from the thought of never being able to kiss her again, to make love to her again. Just be there again.

She couldn’t believe how stupid she had been, love was supposed to be enough right? Why couldn’t she see that? Why did she have to run away and ruin everything the moment she realized that she was in love with Kim; the moment she realized that Kim might be the person she could spend the rest of life with.

If only she could have stopped hiding, stopped pretending, and accepted the truth; she was gay.

Title:  Moonlight
Author: dc_svfan
Fandom:  ER
Characters/Pairing: Kimberly Legaspi/Kerry Weaver
Table: In The Night
Prompt:  Moonlight
Rating:  PG
Warnings:  None.
Summary:  Kerry is reflecting over the night sky.
Word Count:  200
Notes:  I own nothing, because if I did, well... Let’s just say things would have turned out differently.

Kerry had always liked the dark, which actually was an irony that did not escape her. It was easier to hide in the dark, no one could see you, and no one could see what you were hiding. She had been living in the dark her whole life. But now, she was starting to see stars. Stars that lead the way to those who had lost their direction.

And the moon was starting to show, and it gave a beautiful light to everything around it. It was so innocent and quite frankly, it was the most beautiful thing Kerry knew existed. Nothing was ever as perfect as a full moon on a starry night, nothing made her happier than seeing that shining, knowing that it gave light to the people around her.

Moonlight made her happy, and she felt like everything in the world was perfect when the moon was shining down on her. It gave her peace of mind, something she needed.

“Hey”

“Hey, what are you doing?”

Kim had come out to the porch to see that Kerry was starring at the stars, she leaned in and kissed her.

“Just thinking…”

“About what?”

“How you are my moonlight..”
