I'm home for break finally. A little bit of time to sleep in late, if nothing else. I have a few people I'd like to see, but I really don't want to drive... like, ever again. These six hour car trips by myself are maddening.
Ok, in short, these things are upcoming:
The friday of the week I get back to school, I'm going to be performing with ArtWalk as a human statue/juggler. Like, freeze frame, then go into slow juggling, then freeze frame again. They've got fire spinners, stilt walkers, human marionettes, live bands (including "panic at the disco"), cigarette girls, poi jugglers, and body paint-only dancers. The whole thing seems like it's going to be a total blast.
That saturday I'm gonna meet up with Amanda at Naz and see their school production of "Into the Woods." Sweet!
The following weekend, I'm heading down to Staten Island to see Arsenic and Old Lace at the College of Staten Island. Alex is performing in it, for anyone wondering why I'd make that ridiculous trip for one weekend. I'm looking forward to the show, but the drive will be torture. lol. (Alex, don't even bother telling me again that I don't have to come. You couldn't keep me away with a cattle prod.)
Eventually, Dave Walrod and I will be putting on a performance of The Zoo Story for our final exam, which means this coming week is all about memorizing. That's a lot of lines in not so much time. I'm totally psyched about it though, because I'm sure it'll be great, and I can't wait to freak out the norms on campus with some of the stuff that's in that show. :-)
So, lots of Juggling and statue pose practice, memorize lines, get my laptop fixed, write a couple of papers, research for finals, find out about apps. to NYU, start figuring a strategy for saying goodbye to people at school (I'm going to miss everyone so much, it's driving me nuts) and figure out how to talk to my mom about what happens if I don't transfer. It's going to be a rough week. Wish me luck?
