In Lady Blackhawk's Hanger

She throws down her headphones in disgust and runs a hand through tangled red hair. How dare they shut down the coms! Do they not remember how long they've been working on this bust? The smog levels are rising more and more by the moment and they're worrying her. Sure, smog is smog, but her detector also watches for particulates that could be ( Read more... )

Before a taxi pulls over, a large man steps from the alley beside her, dressed in overalls, with a wooden hammer hanging from one pant leg. Right behind him comes another man, this one dressed as a walrus, complete with an oversized mask covering his head.

"The time has come!" the walrus declares.

And both move towards Barbara menacingly.

You have to be kidding! "You really do not want to do this, gentleman." Escrima sticks slide down her wrists into the palms of her hands.

"The master wants oysters!" the carpenter tells her. "Is she an Alice?"

"She might be," the walrus replies. "Take her!"

The walrus moves to grab the handles on the back of the wheelchair, while the carpenter goes for her arms.

The escrima sticks connect solidly. Any normal person would be concussed by the strikes.

They don't even register the pain. Instead, super-strong arms reach for her own to pull the escrima sticks away, while the walrus begins to push the chair.

Crap! Wrong move. She tries a last-minute attack on the guy's kneecaps with her legs. Even Croc had problems with those shots.

There's a solid crack as it connects... but they keep coming.

And the carpenter sends a solid punch towards Oracle's head.
