Oh, yeah. Titans West got the call.

She's swooping in on one of the landing party, aiming for one that looks in charge. She manages to grab one before he or his cohorts know what hit him and take off into the sky.

He can answer, or find himself stuck on top of the nearest windmill with no visible means of getting down. His choice.

"We be takin' yer corn, maties," one of the pirates tells Static. "Stand against us, and ye'll be swimmin' in Davey Jones's locker!"

Another pirate takes off after Starfire, blasting at her with energy bolts as he goes.

"Arr, go be takin' a long walk off a short plank!" Static says, throwing a Taser Punch at the pirate who spoke.

The pirate goes down, falling off his bike. The bike begins arcing towards the sky, while the pirate begins falling towards the ground.

Gear flies in and goes after the bike. If he can turn this against the pirates, so much the better... plus, space tech will have some awesome salvage.

Virgil grabs the pirate with a net of electricity.

"Why not ye be growin yer own corn? Ye be having a black thumb?"

"We'll be taking yer food, matie," the pirate swears towards his captor, "to sell as plunder!" He struggles futilely against his net, even as other pirates come to his rescue.

She dodges the bolt, and fires back.

"No, you are going to leave, go back to where you came from, and grow your own food."

The bolt hits his shoulder and spatters off the armor he's wearing. "Arrr. It be easier to take," he replies, firing a net towards her out of the front of the bike. "Outta me way before yer keel-hauled!"

The net hits and sends her sprawling back, ripping away a chunk of her captive's shirt as he is freed from her grasp. It's only going going to slow her down for a few seconds, and REALLY piss her off.

Four more pirates come in to take down the Tamaranean.

"Arr, maties," one of the pirates notes to his friends, "this be a noblelady worth booty in ransom!"

Noble birth? Yes. But chained up and held for ransom? As her human shield-mates would say, Been there, done that, burned the t-shirt.

She waits for them to come close, then two of them get starbolts aimed square for their chests while the other two get to see what a demonstration of what the Warlords of Okaara train in their students.

These pirates are trained warriors, it's true.

But their teachers were not the Warlords. And Starfire makes short work of all four.

Elsewhere, she can see one pirate heading back towards the mothership, a trailer-truck in tow.

There's going to be a tug of war for that tanker truck. She's flying up to the cockpit, pulling off the door, and is about to throw that pirate out of the driver's seat.
