Perhaps this day was inevitable. Since San Diego collapsed into the sea and its inhabitants changed from human into a water-race breathing, Atlantis has cast its eyes on the city like a member of the court looks upon a wayward foundling. The United States, the most powerful of the surface governments, still sees the city as their territory, but you can only govern what you can protect, and Atlantis no longer seeks "surface ways" in their seas. The Sub Diegoians cannot stall their destiny any longer, or so the Atalnteans think.
