The issue seems more complex now than a minute ago. He doesn't want to die, but something he said to Sand once clings to his thoughts. He sighs as the realization sets in. In battle, he couldn't even take Trevor. How likely is he going to be able to hold his weight? And what happens when Hank's adjustment wears off? What will he do then?
"One thousand nine hundred and sixteen years," he says to Sand, a smile forming at the edges of his lips. His choice is clear.
"I'll agree to do it ...." He turns to Amelia. "Provisionally."

"I've no objection," Caleb answers with thinly veiled contempt, his eyes locked on Alexis. "Let him do it, and then lets be done with this little adventure."

They both seem agreeable to it. Amelia rolls her eyes. "Have at-- but you break his head and I'll break yours, capiche?"

He re-appears, and quickly flicks Caleb's ear.
His last act of irritation now behind him, Alexis snickers, sighs, and turns back to his Birdie. "Let's do this."
"Yes," the human concurs, rubbing his ear. "Lets."
