Although Charlotte had taken to bouncing to all sorts of places in order to sleep, sometimes fighting crime along with Batwoman and/or training left her too tired to visualize a warm and comfortable place she could go to sleep. It was difficult being homeless, and she felt guilty when she had to take food. However, she reasoned that she was only taking what she needed and nothing more, and she needed to eat to be able to help people as Misfit.
It still didn't make her feel any better about her situation. Charlotte missed her mother and little brother. She hoped that she'd be able to get enough dirt on her family's former landlord to put him in jail one day. Oh, certainly the thought of bouncing and letting him suffer what happened to any living thing that teleported with her had occurred to the teen. As much as she hated what he'd done, there was good justice and then there was becoming almost as bad as the type of criminal she hated. There were certain things she just wouldn't do, no matter how bad the person was.
Changed in her civvies clothes, she was back to Charlie, the homeless girl. The teen wished she had somewhere to stay, but she didn't want to trouble Batwoman or anyone else. After all, she was better at taking care of herself than most girls her age, and would rather someone else get into a shelter ahead of her.
Curling up on a bench with a fuzzy sleeping bag, she settled in for the night.
