Coast-a Costa Linda

On one of the remote edges of the island, away from the civilized end of it, several folks in wetsuits wash ashore.  Some wetter than others.

Because they don't make wetsuits for dogs, you know.

But they're there.   And it doesn't appear that anyone has been seen.

After about an hour...and one more brief encounter with a wandering patrol, the team found themselves on the outskirts of what looked like an internment camp. Or at least something important, based on the number of guards around. "Rex, you got anything?" Sand said.

Rex was nosing around the trees as he attempted to pick up anything, occasionally stopping to paw at the ground. He kept sniffing for a moment, his ears pricking forward, then sniffed again, his tail wagging. It was faint, but there was something there. The dog looked over at Sand. "Whuff!"

Sand walks over to where Rex was. Several seconds of searching reveal the seams of what appears to be an access panel...hid fairly well as another patch of grass. "You're saying you have a scent of the Mother here?

The chimp is good at communicating with Rex, even without language. He nods to Sand.

Rex has a scent alright.

[sand_hawkins]

"OK." Sand looks at the group. "Tara, Eve and Rex are with me. We're going in to try and find the complex. Chimp, it's your job, if you run into problems out here, to trip the forcefield that will hopefully buy us the time we need. Everyone else, stay out of sight and be ready to go. If you get engaged by the Society...throw off the cuffs and come out swinging, we'll figure it out on the inside."

Chimp gives a salute of acknowledgment.

The medic nods to Sand and her eyes then wander over to her mentor to see where he might be.
