Death is Easy. Living... That's Hard.

He wasn't expecting this.

He'd been at peace. He'd been okay with death. Sure, his death may not have been saving the world -- but it was saving a child. And that's enough. That's always been enough. Saving one life was all he ever wanted. The fact that he saved dozens... maybe hundreds... that was all he cared about.

Don Hal lies on the bed in his temporary quarters in Titans Tower. It was good of the Titans to put him up like this. Garth had said it was the least they could do while he gets settled back in, but it was truly generous.

Living again.

He gets to his feet and begins pacing back and forth. Resurrected by an explosion of white light, and the love of a good friend and former lover.

He's not even sure if he's still Dove. And what about Hawk? Hank had never even shown up during the Blackest Night, on either side of the equation. He's not sure why.

He remembers being dead, but not anything that happened while he was dead. Just that he was at peace. The next thing he knew, he'd been at Titans Tower, helping Donna and the others... which led to that big fight with Trigon.

He lies back down on the bed. What's he doing here? Why is he alive again? What's the purpose? And what happened to Hank?

With a sigh, Don realizes that he's going to wear a hole in the carpet if he stays in here pacing and lying on the bed. He gets to his feet again, and steps out of the room. Many of the Titans have vanished, perhaps dead, but maybe someone's around who can help him get some perspective.
