Christmas At the Jordans:

Dec 30, 2010 21:25

Alright, so it's not quite Christmas yet, but it's hard to tell by the state of Jim Jordan's apartment. He and his family have a tree in the living room, there are garlands and lights everywhere, stockings hanging by the chimney, and wrapped presents piling under the tree.

"Put it down, Jane," Susan Jordan calls from the kitchen, somehow sensing their younger daughter is picking up one of her gifts to attempt to determine what might be inside.

"I'm not touching them!" Jane calls back, lying, though she puts the gift down. Her lesson to her younger cousin Henry, being babysat for the evening, will have to wait.

A knock comes at the door, and Jim, chuckling, makes his way to answer. "You should know better than to try to fool moms," he tells his daughter. "Moms and dads both have psychic powers."

"Nuh uh!" Jane calls back.

Jim smirks, then opens the door to see who's knocking.

"blackest night"
