"These are fantastic seats, Roy," Hal tells his companion. "Thanks for bringing us along."

The young Henry sits beside his father, carefully watching the hockey players glide across the ice before them.

"It helps me get out of the way of Carol while she's arranging the whole 'marriage' thing."

"I felt like I was nothing but under Donna's feet too." Roy smirked, bouncing Aiden on his knee. The little guy was getting his feet under him. Wanted to walk walk walk everywhere for as long as daddy or mommy or big sister would hold his hands. Keeping him both stationary and amused was not the easiest of tasks, but today was going well so far.

"It's no problem. I'm glad you could come." He raised a brow at his friend. "How are you doing on the whole wedding thing anyway. No cold feet yet I hope."

Hal chuckles. "Don't worry about that. I'll be there. There won't be a wedding, but I'll be there. Carol's going to stand me up. You watch."

"I don't know, man. She seems pretty serious to me. What are you gonna do if she DOESN'T stand you up?"

He looks at Roy and raises an eyebrow. "Have you ever known me to blink first?"

"I'm just saying, Carol's not exactly a flincher either." Roy tucked Aiden in a little closer so he could take a sip of his paper cup of coffee.

"Suppose you both go through with this cause neither of you is willing to back down. You ready for happily ever after for real this time?"

"If I wasn't, I wouldn't have asked. But she'll back down. You'll sFOUL!!" Hal hops to his feet to scream out at the game playing out before them. Henry joins him at his side, waving his arms and screaming, until he's decided that Hal has stopped, then he sits quietly again to watch the game.

Hal turns to Roy once the moment in the game has passed.

"Speaking of ever-after, how is Donna?"

Roy's just as distracted by the foul play for the moment too, although he doesn't get to his feet what with the baby in his lap. Then before he knows it Hal's seated again and changed the topic in the same breath. Smooth as ever.

"She's pretty good. She and Lian are apparently having a girls day today. There was a laaaarge slection of nailpolish on my kitchen table when Aiden and I left."

"Sounds like you got out of there just in the nick of time," Hal chuckles.

"I'm getting better at dodging bullets." Roy smirked, glancing past Hal at Henry who was paying rapt attention to the action though not following the puck in the slightest.

He nudged his chin toward the little boy.

"How's he seem to be taking the wedding plans?"

Lian had been all kinds of underfoot and interested in his and Donna's vows but, well, she'd been a good bit older than Henry. Also a good bit more female.

"I don't think he fully grasps it -- he's not even three quite yet. He likes Carol well enough, though, which is good."

He shrugs, then chuckles a little. "I'll tell you, though... if the Oans get wind of it, and she goes through with it, I'm not sure what the little guys will do. Probably have a heart attack."
