Friday night might find some teenagers out partying with friends or stuck doing homework. Eddie Silver was an odd one, spending his Friday night in a cave. Not just any cave...the BATCAVE. He'd been practically buzzing with excitement since Bruce had revealed that he knew about Eddie's discovery of the cave

Robin was headed to the Bat Cave early. He needed some evidence checked out immediately and only the diagnostic equipment of the Bat family could accomplish such a feat having been designed by Bruce himself. Working his bike around the bends and turns of the tunnel leading to the cave with ease Robin wondered what Bruce had been planning on telling him later.

Hearing an engine coming, Eddie jumped slightly. Looking up from his sweeping, Eddie turned towards the tunnels and glanced around quickly. He'd originally been planning to have some tea and snacks ready for any returning heroes as per Alfred's advice but it was a bit early.

Quickly finishing his sweeping, Eddie stood ready to greet whoever was coming and offer any help he could to whatever they were doing.

Robin went through the motions of parking his bike and taking off his gear on autopilot, barely taking note of his surroundings. He checked his bike one last time and turned around towards the cave and stiffened in surprise.

Remembering he had met Eddie before in the persona of Robin, he was once more forced to disguise his voice from his friend. "Eddie! How and why are you here?!"

Eddie jumped at the sight of Robin and grinned. He'd been eager to meet the young hero again. When Robin seemed to be so surprised, Eddie blinked. "Wh-what?" he squeaked. "B-Batman didn't tell you?" he asked.

"Umm...I t-t-took the stairs..." he pointed towards them. "I'm down here t-t-to help," he said. "I f-f-found the cave and Batman said it was a t-t-test and said I c-c-could help you all down here..."

Robim glared at Eddie for a moment, not knowing how to proceed. This could be a trick, it could be a shapeshifter or someone in dsiguise so he stayed on his guard. He tried to think of a question to ask the 'intruder' to verify it was Eddie without giving his identity away. "If you really are Eddie, where did we last meet?"

The glare had Eddie pale pretty quickly. He let out a little squeak and shifted nervously. He was worrying about having made Robin angry. The question made him pause and blinks a few times.

"It w-w-w-was that warehouse in the city. The Question was there and there w-w-were those drug smugglers and the Question let you p-p-put on one of his masks to f-fool them," he answered.

Robin glared for a moment longer and then nodded his head. "Ok, start from the beginning, what are you doing down here and how much do you know?"

The glare had Eddie growing more worried the longer it lasted. He shifted in place, watching Robin carefully. "Okay," he squeaked, taking a deep breath to calm down. "I w-w-was cleaning up the cave a little and making sure thinks w-weren't a huge m-m-mess down here so Mr. Pennyworth can rest," he explained. "And...I kn-know a lot..." he frowned, a little confused for a moment. After a bit of thought he jumped and blushed. "Oh! N-n-not what you mean umm...well, Mr. Wayne t-t-told me who he is b-b-but he didn't tell me any other secret identities. I th-think that's what you mean..." he shifted again.

This is something to process. All Eddie gets is a nod of acknowledgement before a small smile graces his features.

"It is pretty cool down here."

Eddie's expression lights up when Robin smiles, relieved and excited.

"It's the m-most amazing place I've ever b-b-been, sir!"

He holds up one gloved hand. "Please, God - no 'sir.'"

"I came down here for the lab and computer. You?"

Eddie blushes a bit and nods. "Sorry, sir...I mean Robin," he replies quickly.

"J-just like I said," he grins. "I'm cleaning up and staying r-r-ready to d-d-d-do anything t-to help that Batman or you or any of the others might need."

The shake of his head is almost imperceptible as he heads for the computer. He wants to be friendly, but there is work and he's not sure how exactly under the circumstances. There is too much on his mind. He hopes Eddie isn't going to take the silence as a slight.

Once he sets the tests to work, he finally says, "You don't have to, Eddie. If he trusts you to be down here, then you probably have another job to do other than just helping Alfred out."

Eddie moves out of the way quickly, watching Robin go. He lingers for a moment before following along. The small teen stays quiet, just watching Robin work curiously.

"What?" He jumps when spoken to, startled a little. "He d-does? He d-d-d-didn't tell me about another j-job...just said to help Mr. Pennyworth out..."

"If you're down here, then he wanted you to find the Cave." It's just that simple. "Taken the Oath, yet?"

Eddie nods. That much he understands, he just can't imagine yet that he'd be there for anything more than cleaning up and helping Alfred.

"Oath?" he tilts his head to the side, a little lost.
