It seems that Eddie has been searching dutifully indeed. Then again a kid like Eddie with the research skills (not to mention the memory) probably was pretty good candidate for finding such secret passages.

In the library, things seem pretty normal enough until he happens to find a book case that sounds different from the others. There's a candlestick that hands off the wall as well as a small table next to the bookcase.

Eddie gasped when he found the bookcase, looking it over quickly.

"Oh m-man," he said, excited. Quickly he checked each book to see if it was a switch. Not finding one, he looked around and bit his lip. The table was examined first, Eddie crawling under it to peek for hidden buttons. After that, he moved on to the candle-stick and reached up to see if it was a disguised lever of some kind.

No buttons but.. the candle stick seems to be a bit loose. It rotates in a strange way.

Eddie grinned and took another deep breath. He checked to make sure he wasn't about to be smacked with something before rotating the candlestick.

Reaching out, Bruce patted at Eddie's shoulder with open affection. "You're a good kid, Eddie." was his simple reply. "It's good having you around."

Eddie leaned into the affectionate gesture without realizing he was doing it. He blushed and smiled. "Th-thank you, sir," he said softly, not used to hearing such nice things.
