A (Hopefully) Timely Intervention
John was back on Earth a few days later after a trip to Xanshi to sort out his head on this whole affair. He didn't want to enter another war so soon after what happened with the Sinestro Corps, but the Zamarons were the ones pushing this. He still couldn't believe Hal was willing to trust Carol after all she accepted the ring, and John couldn't get the prophecy out of his head that Ganthet told them about during the war.
The Sinestro Corps was the start, and the Star Sapphires were another nail in the coffin. Who knew when the other colors would make their appearances. He still didn't agree with the Guardians editing the book of Oa to their liking. It made him glad that he didn't accept their offer to become an Alpha Lantern...among other things.
He flew toward Hal's apartment, hoping that dropping in unannounced wouldn't be an unforgivable sin, but he had to talk some sense into his friend about Carol, about all of this mess.
He knocked on Hal's apartment door, willed himself out of his uniform, and prayed he wasn't too late.
