Initially I was looking at a place in El Camino, but this house just jumped out. I drove through the neighborhood today and I like the feel of it. It's on the high end of the budget, but they're cutting me a deal as a Veteran and as a Federal officer which knocks it down. In addition, the realtor was able to secure some furniture that goes along with the lease. That gets moved in tomorrow and I take possession on Thursday. It'll be nice to get out of the motel.
Three bedroom. Two bath. Two car garage - which is really the important thing. The beach is walking distance - long walk, but walking distance. And it's a quick jump and a drive. The backyard itself is small but the properties on the ends of the street are all joined by common grassy areas and I was told today by my neighbors that those common areas are used for everything from barbeques to impromptu playgrounds by the kids.
It's a nice area and I think I made a good choice.
From the front.
One shot of the common area I mentioned ...
From a different angle.
The incredibly small backyard.
The living space. Why you need a fireplace in California is beside me. But it breaks up the room at least.
Looking from the living space into the kitchen.
The appliances are all new, apparently.
I also took pictures of the bathroom areas, but no one really wants to see those.
It's been a while since I had to get comfortable here. We'll see how it all goes.
