How much do I like the idea of DC flashfiction? THIS MUCH. And so to celebrate, I wrote a little Stephanie thing. Because really, I kind of like the whole Steph-as-Robin storyline, mainly because I staunchly believe that Tim will eventually return to the mantle la la la i can't hear you. *g*

Here I am, not being phased by Steph!Robin because, in the back of my head, I know it is temporary.

Then you have to go and make me feel for the poor girl.

*g* Believe me, I hope it's temporary too -- I adore Tim as Robin, man. It's just not the same without a dark-haired little boy in the role. But at the same time, I was terribly relieved when I found out that girl!Robin was gonna be Steph, because I thought it would be some new, random girl. And that would've been ick.

Wow. You have her voice down *so* well, and I love how you show what a difficult, complicated, and ill-fitting situation Steph has landed in...no matter how well the custom-tailored armor fits. Really nice. :D

Thank you so much! It's terribly reassuring to hear that I got Steph's voice down -- I haven't done a lot of DC-fic and am still groping about when it comes to writing them. *g* I appreciate it muchly!

Ack! I can see this being very close to what canon will be like in a few months. Poor Steph. It's too bad she and Tim can't both be Robin. (But that would be really confusing.)

Love the point about how so many Gotham villains don't care who is in the Robin costume -- it's Robin they hate and want to destroy. Like Robin is this whole separate entity apart from who's actually wearing the mask.

Fo' sho', man. And Mr. Tim would probably get pretty snitty about somebody sharing the post with him, heh.

I think that for the common thug, that's probably more true. I mean, there's the baddies who hate Robin as a *person* (and they make the more interesting stories), but I figure your average punk just hates the costume. Like hating cops just because they're cops.
