Well what an eventful weekend. It all started off with a great Saturday afternoon of sand volleyball and grilling out with about 10 friends. Four hours in the sun and sand. It doesn't get much better than that, well that and pushing some friends on the merry go round until one about flew of and started screaming. :) Then after all that how could Sat night be bad. I'll tell you how.
I started of the evening with some sunburn spray and a trip to the local liquor retailer with my roommate and a couple other guys. We spent just over $80.00 on booze, soda, and Red Bull. Doesn't sound bad yet you might say, and you are right not bad yet. The four of us get to the party about 8:00pm. I kick off the night with a shot of Bacardi O and a Red Bull with my roommate. Good start. Here's where it goes downhill. My roommate gives me his football shaped 44oz plastic cup. I pour one whole bottle ( I am unfortunately not exaggerating here) of 3 Palms Coconut Rum in with 24oz of Pepsi. About an hour later I am finished and getting a little loopy. With a little provocation from the group I allow my friend's wife to make me another drink. She takes half a bottle of Stoli Vodka and puts in some Sprite and Pink lemonade. Hell I don't know how much later but, about halfway through the second football we find our hero in the yard catching( more truthfully, stalking) fireflies in the dark amidst the cheers and howls from the crowd.
Not long after. The Slip N Slide was brought out and the chaos ensued. Coed naked Slip N Slide, what a sight to behold. I being completely obliterated by then did not par take in those festivities. I had to watch from the sidelines and try not to get sick. I am not sure if it was the booze or the sight of those that were nude and sloshing in the yard that ultimately made me throw up. Probably a little of both. The end of the night was rapidly approaching and myself with far too much of a depressant in the system, started to feel bad again. I guess it didn't help that my ex was not 10 feet from me and making some comments that hurt my feelings although they were not directed at me. The torrential downpour hit around 11:30, most of the people scattered about then. I however sat in the garage stared into the storm and wallowed in my misery. Dave (my roommate) finally drove us home about 12:15. I have decided that drinking may have been fun but, I no longer need it in my life. I am since feeling better emotionally but, am still quitting alcohol.
