I wouldn't be at all sorry to get a Four/Leela story -- in fact, I'd definitely want to hear it. It's just that I wouldn't be going "Is it out yet? Is it out yet? I want to hear it now now now now NOW!" in the way that I would for a Four/Sarah story.
And a Four/Brig story would be somewhere in between . . .
Maybe we can get Tom, Lis, Louise and Nick all in the *same* story? Because that would be truly awesome.
For me, a Four/Sarah story just isn't the same without Harry. But that's my personal preference.
After the awesomeness that was the Gallifrey series, I'd love to see Tom work with both Louise and Lalla, just to see how Four would put up with the pair. That could be darling.
Sadly, I doubt we'll ever see Tom and Lalla working together again, but setting aside those mundane RL considerations, yes a Four/Leela/Romana story would be wonderful. Has Lalla ever done Big Finish? I don't even know.
Yes, Lalla has done a ton of work with Big Finish, including her own series costarring Louise, that had a very Odd Couple chemistry to it. She's also played Romana against Six and Eight.
The tale is The Apocalypse Element and features Six and Evelyn (who is probably the best Companion you'll ever encounter, audio or tv, new or classic, sadly this is not one of her best episodes) saving Gallifrey with the help of Romana from a Dalek invasion. Precedes New Who by several years, but easy to pretend its a skirmish of the Time War.
And I'm not suddenly struck by the desire to write a Leela-in-SJA story in which Sarah gets very annoyed to find Leela teaching the kids how to use a knife...
I'm fine. But, you know, it was a bit of a fannish wish fulfilment moment there.
Of course if Lalla is up for an adventure, I might just wet myself up with squee.

And oh, Harry . . . I miss Ian Marter.

You okay??
:D
(And I am *not* suddenly struck by the desire to try to write a story with Four, Sarah, Leela and the Brig in it. Except that I am.)

Yes, fannish wish fulfillment! If we can't indulge here, where can we indulge?
