JaeJoong is the light in his life.
How cliché - with dragons and princesses and happy endings that seldom end happily - he muses, the text on his lap barely tugging at his interest anymore.
“Min,” the eldest would scold - soft and hard, sweet and tart “Don’t read in the dark.”
His eyes are momentarily blinded - by smiles and hugs and sweet kisses that leave him out of breath - when the lamp on the nightstand flickers on.
“It’s bad for your eyes,” There’s a smile in the older boy’s voice. Addicting - like his cooking and his laughs and his contagious happiness. Changmin can never get enough.
He gives a whine when Jae ruffles his hair on his way out - a touch full of promise and care and tenderness that makes his heart feel things that are too mushy for his taste.
JaeJoong is the light in his life.
Cliché, but true nonetheless.
