Time Warp
Just a little.
A little more.
There.
That’s how it always went. The unmistakable sting and the sound of the first crimson drop as it kissed the marble sink. Plop.
He closed his eyes and let himself absorb each wave of pain. He gives himself the excuse that it’s just to calm the nerves.
They said it would be just like the old times.
They promised.
A smile crept on his face as he felt the hammering beneath his chest slowed.
Like old times.
His phone began to vibrate inside his pocket and the name ‘Changmin’ flashed on the screen. A text message.
“Sorry, Hyung. Not today.”
A sigh.
Who was he kidding? He knows deep down that his dreams are on a different league. That their visions of the future are just fragments from different puzzles trying to coalesce but never could. He knows all this.
But why is it no matter how long time passed, they could always find him planted in the same doorstep where they had left him, still trying to fuse in what is and what used to be?
