Summary: Unexpectedly, Changmin finds his pretty silver tongue knotted.
Changmin has a silver tongue.
It can corrode foes with acid, sweeten ladies smiles, or deal glib digs that deflate egos. He uses words to verbally spar with Jaejoong until their antics come to playful blows, and one solid punch conceals a fistful of words.
With Yoochun he lashes words together to fashion a rope that will lasso the other boy into his harebrained schemes. Changmin wields his rapier wit, and Yoochun paints color into wooly adventures penned by a madcap tongue as the two go out to slay dragons.
Changmin spins Junsu’s head in circles with dizzying pitfalls of tricky words that trap the poor boy in letters. He smiles when Junsu wins his words games and gets in a few good punches of his own.
He uses words to build bridges with Yunho, to let the older boy know Changmin looks up to him. Words help Changmin prop Yunho up when he’s down, and tug him out of bed on difficult days.
When the lawsuit comes he’s rendered speechless. Saddened and shuttered away in a house for two years, his silver tongue tarnishes with disuse.
If only they would let him speak, Changmin thinks. Maybe then he could stack words to fill the chasm separating him from people he misses terribly.
