Summary: Blood never runs dry.
The frequent earthquakes bring him back years ago, to a small stage with four other people, when the wood had shook with the audience’s stomps and cheers.
“It’s pronounced tsu,” Nadeshiko admonishes. “Not su.”
“It’s been a while since I was here,” he jokes back in Korean as he leans against the railing at Tokyo Tower. “Give your grandpa a break.”
“She has a gift,” Nadeshiko’s mother had told him over the phone, although when Seoyoung had been a child, she hadn’t been able to tell the difference between C and C sharp. Her Japanese husband didn’t have the talent either. “Appa. She can sing. You have to come to Japan.”
The shade of Tokyo sunshine confuses him sometimes, and he wakes, thinking he has to hurry to practice.
Junsu’s hands shake against the railing.
“Music is in Nadeshiko’s blood,” Seoyoung’s father tells her simply after fleeing back to Seoul.
