Dodge Dart Plans

So I worked ALL weekend...3 days...to put in an electric fuel system.... for you gear-heads out there, you're wondering why it took me three days.... A-N Fittings on steel braided line (not the fake ones...the real ones...) for the other people, it should take 4 hours to put in an electric fuel system, but A-N fittings are a royal pain in the ass, and I'm going to attempt to design a BETTER version of these ridiculous things... maybe I can patent them! lol
other than that, when we went to start it for the first time, it was rather funny because we left the hose clamp on the gas line....took us almost 40 minutes to figure out WHY the gas wasn't getting to the engine...no comment

so the plans for the dart are as follows...

1 month from now the rear end goes to the shop, to get rebuilt
at the same time, i'm going to get a 904 transmission rebuilt
i'm going to buy the rest of the 6-pack assembly stuff
I'm going to order the fiberglass front fenders, headlight buckets, and bumper, and have them installed.
I'm buying another car...its a 95 eagle talon...its old, decrepit, dying, and will be the perfect beater to drive while the dart is down
I'm pulling the motor out of the dart and taking it down to Chet's Machine shop, I'm going to rebuild it, but I don't have a full idea of what I want to do to it yet..more on that in some other post when I figure it out.
once the motor is out, i'm going to take a picture....THEN i'm going to pull EVERYTHING out of the engine compartment, fill the holes that AREN'T supposed to be there, relocate stuff, degrease, paint, recondition, etc. while i'm at it, i'll install the hood pins... once the engine compartment looks good, THEN i'll start wondering about when i'm going to put the engine, transmission, etc in the car
and finally..probably sometime around Christmas, i'm going to drive the dart...with the new motor that will get about 11 mi to the gallon, up to Washington, and let my friend Danny do all the final prep & paint work on it...then he can take it to my mother's and put it under a car cover, where it will await my return from wherever they send me..... Its going to be SO cool to come home to a fully restored muscle car, and the most beautiful woman in the world to ride down from WA with me...good thing she's my Fiance...or I'd have to ask again ;)
still stoked about getting married in SEPT 06 Oceania is the most wonderful young lady I have ever met, and I am ever so fortunate to be able to call her my fiance.

more later...i'm really trying to update more regularly
